ALTAMAR receives praise for providing a comfortable travel experience. However, some users have reported delays in arrival times and lack of communication about these delays. Additionally, concerns were raised regarding the absence of toilet paper and water facilities on board. There are also mentions of luggage not being tagged and limited seat recline options during long journeys.
Two remarks from my side. 1. The scheduled arrival time was 2:20pm, the bus arrived at 4:50pm, starting in Acapulco with a delay of 20 minutes. 2. No toilet paper and no water to wash the hands, not good!

Bus was 3 hours late - overcrowded, my seat was double booked and I ended up sitting on the floor. The bus driver was nodding off to sleep - he then starting smoking on the bus - he played music so loud that I could still hear it over my own with noise cancelling headphones - he was on his phone watching YouTube while driving - overtaking cars around corners - did not slow down for speed bumps. It was the worse mode of transport I have ever experienced

Where do I even start. I am still sitting on this disgusting and dirty bus which was supposed to be 7:36pm - 7:51am (+1) from puerto Escondido to Mexico City. It was nearly three hours late and the journey has now taken nearly 16 hours and we’re still two hours away. The entire bus smells like human waste, and there’s pee and toilet water running up the bus aisles so all of my belongings are now covered with other people’s waste. We have stopped once in a 16 hour period, and there has been no toilet paper in the washrooms the entire trip so none of us women can use the washroom on board….. absolutely embarrassing that I’ve paid nearly $125 CAD to sit on this toilet with wheels. I will never, ever book a bus with this company again.
