According to multiple reviews, the bus service consistently arrived extremely late at the destination. Additionally, customers reported that the toilet was dirty and smelly on board.
The staff at the office is supper nice and warm welcoming with excellent customer service however the drivers need improve on their driving skills. The first driver from Mthatha was speeding and not observing learners regulations, he would overtake on solid lines. The other driver was driving very well, from Kokstand to PMB the weather was not good but I was comfortable with the second driver.

Overally I did not enjoy my journey. In Pretoria, the guy who was loading asked me for R50 and never gave me a receipt. I felt that was quite unprofessional. The bus left for Joburg and we were offloaded at the rank. The driver (B860 bus) was quite rude to me. It was announced on the bus that certain people had to remain whilst others had to disembark. I checked with him, since there was no mention of my destination but the rudeness that came from him just surprised me. I struggled for close to 45 minutes trying to locate which coach I had to use. Please take note that I had luggage. I was so disappointed. Let me not continue with what disappointed me but the fact is that I never expected that from Eldo. The buses are real machines but the human resource and the strategies used need serious attention. My trip was from Pretoria to Queenstown and not Pretoria to Johannesburg and then Johannesburg to Queenstown.

Yes, you can reschedule your booking dates. It's important to know that the rescheduling of dates may come at a cost and are subject to ticket availability. There is no guarantee that the next date that you will want to book is available due to factors like travel peak season and limited space on Eldo Coaches.
Unfortunately, we do not allow either smoking or drinking. Eldo Coaches reserves the right of admission, and people who are found to be intoxicated will not be permitted on the bus. If you are found smoking on board, you may also be asked to get off the bus as soon as a safe destination is reached. You are however permitted to have food and soft drinks while you travel.
Children are allowed to travel on Eldo Coaches. Children under 36 months will be allowed to travel for free. Please note that children under the age of 12 years will not be permitted to travel on the bus if they do not have adult supervision. This is done for safety purposes. You may be asked for proof of the child's age, so please ensure that you bring along any proof that will state the child's age.
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee this. Seating arrangements may change, if need be, due to unforeseen circumstances. New seat allocations may be made without prior notice to passengers, which is important to keep in mind if you are traveling with a spouse or family.

Yes, however, if you have passed your second trimester, it’s less likely that you’ll get on the bus. Eldo Coach reserves the right of admission, and whoever is the Boarding Master or Supervisor will be the person to access your condition. You will then be told if you can board the bus or not. It’s important to know that Eldo Coaches does not discriminate against pregnant women or any other person.
Eldo Coaches caters to people with disabilities. However, in this case, Eldo Coaches will need to be notified in advance so that they can properly prepare. You will also need to inform Eldo Coaches before boarding the bus. Please also note that passengers in wheelchairs need to disclose this to Eldo Coaches on the day of booking.
You are allowed two pieces of luggage which cannot exceed 25kg. Anything that is more than this will be an added cost. Eldo Coaches does accept boxes, china bags, and other commercial luggage however it must be noted that you will be charged for these.

Single Decker
The single-decker has 52 seats. Each seat can recline for maximum comfort and also comes with seat belts for safety. The chairs are set out in a 2:2 seating arrangement with individual air vents. There are also individual reading lights for those that want to read. Entertainment is also on offer in the form of a TV.. This bus offers an aircon and heating along with an emergency toilet. You also get individual armrests and tray tables. There is also 24-hour tracking available on the bus.
Comfort Liner
The comfort liner is very much like the single-decker as it also has reclining seats; however, this bus has 60 seats that also come with seatbelts. This bus has a 2:2 seating arrangement and also offers entertainment. You have individual air vents as well as air conditioning and heating. There is an emergency toilet on board. There is also 24-hour tracking. You will get individual reading lights, armrests, and tray tables.
Executive Touring 52 Seater
This is also a 52 seater bus with reclining seats that come with seatbelts. You have a 2:2 seating arrangement, and entertainment is also available. You will get individual air con vents, reading lights, tray tables, and armrests. There is also an emergency toilet on board. You also have an aircon and heaters available. There is 24-hour tracking available. You will also get a leg rest which comes in handy for long trips.
